APT 195 Report post Posted November 13, 2010 Sweet car man! Got a question regarding the battery to boot conversion. What did you use in the bonnet side to connect up the new terminals ? Where did you ground the negative in the Boot ?
_Matt_ 42 Report post Posted November 13, 2010 This might seem like a silly question. But why move the battery to the boot?
Jacko 2156 Report post Posted November 13, 2010 Nice man, looks cool. Battery too boot - Weight distribution and engine bay looks better. APT - I have a spare cable etc if your interested, factory bits. They use a cool little + block that bolts to firewall with a cover.

flake 0 Report post Posted November 13, 2010 i dig your approch to remove the gearbox in place. i had to do that to one of my gearbox bolts but that was when the engine was out of the car. no doubt doing that would have saved some time. your car looks good with the tech1 kit, colour coded bumpers and no rear wing, looks very clean and sudtle. didn't realise it was four door until i saw the window swithches
payney8 0 Report post Posted November 13, 2010 hahah i would have rathered doing it out of the car but i didnt have an engine hoist available to me so i had to do it in the vehicle which i have done before to a 318i but this time 3 off the bellhousing bolts were rusted into the alloy. I spent a day just cutting the heads of so i could slide the gbox off
Top Secret 2 Report post Posted November 13, 2010 Looks really nice mate. Interesting to see it has facelift tail lights. Someone must have converted it at some stage
payney8 0 Report post Posted November 13, 2010 yeah it definitly has been converted to mtech 1 but its all factory mtech 1 kit. If you have a look at the rear wheel wells the rubber end plate doesn't quite match up to the late model arches.
