M5V8 337 Report post Posted November 26, 2010 On a trip north, stinking hot & what happens? Dam fans stopped! Nothing dead. All AC lights work, a small amount of air comes out but the fan is just not pushing any air! I found the fuses and they are fine. Think it maybe this final stage resistor I'm reading about Anyone else have the same?

M5V8 337 Report post Posted November 26, 2010 min and max only??Narr nothing. All the buttons work but the fan doesn't blow.Best we got was a slight breeze at 100kph from just air forced in I think. I'm having to drive with the windows down. No warning at all totally out of the blue
Eagle 1662 Report post Posted November 26, 2010 Sounds like the blower motor has gone either that or the final stage resistor

That sounds exactly like my issue.cheers fellas This is what my research was concluding as well. So strange it happened so suddenly with only80k's on the car. I guess it could happen anytime in that case. Bad timing it's a weekend and its freaking 28 degrees outside!!
euroitalian 62 Report post Posted November 28, 2010 Make sure you check your AC cabin filters when you replace the resistor. Very important.
