byza213 1 Report post Posted June 23, 2011 (edited) cheers Max , exhaust might look better in person na man i havent driven it out of auckland lol need to sort out the issue of whens its warm i switch it off after 30 mins of driving it wont start , might get it diagnosed and go from there , would be a pain in summer ! tire 10 Report post Posted June 23, 2011 (edited) Oh true yes fair enough. It sort of did that to me once, although it turned itself off. Wouldn't start for like 30 mins (this was in the outside lane of the motorway in peak hour ). I replaced the fuel pump relay with a new one and the ECU for one out a manual e30 and it never did it again. Im not sure if it was the relay or the ECU that was the issue, but if you want the old ECU to try you can have it. Battery was also new from Glenn last year so it would be wierd if it was that (although if it is the problem you will be able to take it back under warranty)... trying to think what else it could be. Perhaps a loose connection to one of the starter terminals? Does it turn over at all? Edited June 23, 2011 by tastic
byza213 1 Report post Posted June 23, 2011 oh real peak hour thats not good lol! will see what the outcome is ill take it down the road to get checked i dont really have time to try figure it out myself i did replace the starter and it always started for a while after that might be the relay ay!! yea man she turns over all the time , just mainly if i drive it for more than around 30 mins she wont start for like another 30 , push starts do the trick in that case ! only started doing it recently more often
