Apex 693 Report post Posted January 31, 2011 Of course it is, how obvious. I suppose there is nothing against making up names for cars though, I call my Corolla White Lightning or XL-1.3-R Type-S Nurb edition but the transport agency don’t share my enthusiasm. A 320i with a 3.5 Turbo is still just a 320i. That Alfa wing is mean, how would I go about mounting that on my Corolla’s hatch??

A 320i with a 3.5 Turbo is still just a 320i. Just to confuse you, it is officially registered as a BMW ALPINA, it used to be an Alpina C1 2.3 Calling it a 335ti is an attempt at using BMW nomenclature to describe the body and engine of the vehicle, though the t is a little misleading vs. the definition of a 318ti
crazyarab 6 Report post Posted February 1, 2011 Ahhh that white beast with the deeeeeep dish BBS's I can imagine it will need quite a bad ass spoiler on there.
E30-323ti 66 Report post Posted February 1, 2011 [OT] Calling it a 335ti is an attempt at using BMW nomenclature to describe the body and engine of the vehicle, though the t is a little misleading vs. the definition of a 318ti I know what you are saying (thus my name) But to be even more picky, would it not be a 345i Based on the 745i being a 3.5l Turbo or should it be 340i based on the E90 335i being a 3.0l Turbo [/OT] Theses APR GTC WINGS seems to get good reviews (for a budget wing) from the US BMW racers (one being in the pic below). twisted 45 Report post Posted February 1, 2011 or should it be 340i based on the E90 335i being a 3.0l Turbo But then People would most likely confuse it for something with two more cylinders. But to be even more picky, would it not be a 345i Based on the 745i being a 3.5l Turbo Yes.
Apex 693 Report post Posted February 1, 2011 Or according to Motorsport NZ Turbo = x 1.7. So it would be a 359.5ti.
