Mark 178 Report post Posted January 31, 2011 (edited) PRICE DROP TO $7750ono Trademe listing ___________________________ This is an enthusiast owned 325i which has had no expense spared on all needed repairs. Originally an automatic transmission car, it has been converted to manual at some point using all genuine BMW parts. Odometer currently reads 125,000kms Spec list: - South African built car with all associated extras: Long range fuel tank, cruise control, maplight mirror, on-board computer, electric mirrors, windows and sunroof. - Genuine 15†BBS RS001 split-piece wheels. - Full genuine AC Schnitzer bodykit - Recaro-style BMW sports interior - M-Tech I steering wheel and M-Tech gearknob - Lowered 35mm on H&R Sport Springs teamed with factory M-spec Bilstein dampers. - K&N panel filter in factory airbox - Minor cosmetic mods such as clear indicator lenses and all-red tail-lights. All chrome trim has been shadowlined black. - Panasonic ipod control headunit with ipod and aux cables hidden in glovebox. I purchased the car in early 2009, sending it straight to highly-respected BMW racecar mechanic Graeme Clyde at DCH Motorsport for a thorough inspection. All items that needed attention were replaced and the engine underwent a full top-end rebuild at considerable cost. I have all receipts for work and parts done during my ownership totalling well over $5000. Cambelt, waterpump, powersteering belt and thermostat all replaced at 117,000k's. Engine runs like a dream, starts first time even on cold Christchurch winter mornings. All regular servicing has been carried out by DCH Motorsport. Car has only been driven on weekends since in my ownership and has always been garaged. Known issues A/C does not work, but is still connected. Rear subframe bushes will need replacing soon. Fuel gauge needle flickers when tank is filled. One elec window switch works intermittently (replacement switch needed) Window wipers shudder on intermittent (easy fix) Drivers door lock is stiff, (I just unlock the car from the boot) Minor scratches in paint consistent with a 23 year old car. This is a really well looked after E30 that is not far off being a “showroom†example. It also has a lot of rare parts on it that us E30 nuts pay big dollars for! Price reflects the fact that you can get in this car and drive it without spending $$$'s on all the usual maintenance issues that come with E30 ownership. Please feel free to ask any questions. I am in Rotorua but car is garaged in Christchurch so if you wish to view please contact me and I will arrange someone to show you around the car. No swaps or exchanges please. $8,495 ono (will throw in an M-Tech I rear spoiler too) Edited February 6, 2011 by _Mark_

Mark 178 Report post Posted April 24, 2011 Forgot to update this thread: Car was sold a couple of weeks after the Feb earthquake to a chap in Auckland who is going to continue its legacy and restore it to even more mint condition, so look out for it on a busy Auckland road near you.
