Ben 0 Report post Posted February 4, 2011 (edited) I found this on the driven performance website M20 Turbo Manifold And yes I know from personal experience that ther E36 M50 turbo manifolds dont fit (they wont post my feedback on the site). So has anyone used one? Any problems with it? Im hoping its not just a flipped left hand drive one. Edited February 4, 2011 by Ben
oscar90 0 Report post Posted February 4, 2011 think John/e30ftw used it or a similar one that claimed to fit when he did m20b27 turbo..from memory he had to cut n weld something for it to fit properly

l0w320 0 Report post Posted February 4, 2011 would probly be better in the longrun to just get a custom one fabbed up those ones usually dont fit properly from what other forums and people have said..
Ben 0 Report post Posted February 5, 2011 (edited) think John/e30ftw used it or a similar one that claimed to fit when he did m20b27 turbo..from memory he had to cut n weld something for it to fit properly Is there a thread on his build? I did a search and couldnt find anything explaining what he did. Did he have to cut the pipes to make it fit or move the flange? The flange looks like it will clear the strut tower with enough room for a turbo but I dont know if the mass of pipes will clear the chassis rail. @1dvsbm Looking at 1200 for a decent custom manifold I think id rather buy this and chop it up to fit like I did with my M50 one Edited February 5, 2011 by Ben

Thankyou for your invaluable response Has anyone else actually had experience with these m20 manifolds? Even just a link to a thread of one being used? Ive been searching google for 2 days and still havent found a thing
e30ftw 410 Report post Posted February 6, 2011 Threads gone, but yeah I used it all I had to do was move over a bolt hole slightly, and you cut the manifold flange in half so it separates the 2 banks of 3 (1,2,3 and 4,5,6). Fits fine, Never cracked on me and I never knew of anyone actually having it crack on them either, people say it but I don't think anyone actualy ever had proof of it. Only real bad points are no wastegate flange and it's a insane tight fit so the dump pipe of your turbo has to be squeezed between the #6 runner and firewall. I got 2.5" only just and that was with the deadening ripped off too.
