'87 M325 for $5500

Recommended Posts

Well it's not quite TradeMe, but it is at the end of my street (Grey Lynn).

Not sure who owns it, is it anyone here?

Thought someone might be interested. Speedo reads 187km.

That's the problem - I'm almost tempted!

But I figure someone else should get it though......

I just sold my sedan to get a wagon, not a coupe!!

Edit: Blackie I assume you're referring to test driving the car?

TWIN.

Would be cool as to have a stock one and a fast one, looking the exact same. Ahhhhh oh well.

No...my anti-E30 willpower is weak. I try to convince myself that it's a lousy 80's car with subpar steering, suspension and brakes...but it's not very efffective.

Left another message for "Lauren" today...I wish she'd pick up her phone!

Has anyone actually got a hold of this chick yet?

Yeah, have organised an inspection for Tuesday. Will report back. :)

Oh dear, it's possibly the roughest M325i I've ever seen. Didn't even bother getting it on a hoist. Needless to say, I walked away.

-Parcel tray butchered!

-Rust in rear arches

-Rust in boot

-Small rust patches in the front bits

-Mtech kit not held on properly in spots

-Seats are tired, and the knobs don't work

-Driver seat ripped

-Big leak in passenger footwell

-Clutch on the way out

-Most of the hoses in the engine bay looked past the use-by date

-Rough idle

-Pod filter with a rip in it

-Exhaust leak

-Interior is ripped up

-Rugged manual window conversion

-Tech1 wheel is pretty much destroyed

-Speaker covers, etc butchered

-Needs new tyres, all bald on the inside

-22 different NZ owners

-UK import

On the plus side,

-Suspension seems pretty good (but crashed quite badly on the front left), aftermarket lowering springs and bilsteins

-Electric sunroof works well

-Clarion sound bits if that's your thing

Std M bits:

-Maplight mirror

-Shadowlined

-Houndstooth interiors

-Colour coded bumpers and mirrors

-LSD!

That's quite an accusation coming from you!

Literally a 2 minute drive, before we turned back. Pretty sad to see a car like that ruined :(

That is a real shame - I was hoping it'd be a good buy for someone.

Guess the old saying is true.

If it seems too good a deal......
