ScD 0 Report post Posted April 24, 2005 All the EAT, JC etc chips do is replace the standard look-up table on an EPROM chip in the DME with a tweaked version.
Carl 3 Report post Posted April 25, 2005 What chip controls the fuel mapping and timing?
Guest Andrew Report post Posted April 25, 2005 What chip controls the fuel mapping and timing? there is a non-volatile chip with base settings - these are what the chip makers can alter (timing maps, fuel maps) - I think motronic can write to the volatile memory with closed loop lamba control on O2 sensor models.
