BMRBOI 8 Report post Posted February 23, 2011 Hi guys, The gfs mums e36 failed a WoF for front ball joints being dropped (no surprise here). Just wanting to get an opinion on which way is the best to go with replacing them. Stick with genuine ones or is there a suitable aftermarket one?? I have tired to use repco ones in my e36 before but they do not fit the bmw dealers tool so they refused to fit them. Her car is a 1997 318i the dealer reckons they need the chassis number to give her a price, arnt the e36 ball joints all the same? Cheers Niroy
