nzhaystack 0 Report post Posted March 2, 2011 Hi Guys, Got the gearbox off today after some fighting with that jammed bolt , ive had a look at my clutch plate and it has about 4mm of beef on it, engine will be coming out at 300000 k's for a cambelt swap etc, so just need to know if the clutch will last until then. It looks to be in good cond and worked fine before the gearbox died. Car has about 15000 k's left until the cambelt change so planning to do clutch and slave cylinder etc all during that period. Cheers Mitchell
hotwire 352 Report post Posted March 2, 2011 Clutch doesn't come out with cam belt replacement - why remove the engine for that? It can be done in situ easily. What else was planned for the engine then? Why not do all now while it is apart? BTW if clutch not near the rivits then still has good life in it
