kevinator9 57 Report post Posted March 20, 2011 I would like to be able to decode the VIN on my BMW to reveal the options that it left the factory with. I had a look for the build sheet under the back seat but no luck I have found out general info via the VIN such as manufacture year/month place etc. Anyone how to decode the VIN to show the options list (or if it is even possible?). Many Thanks
briancol 3 Report post Posted March 20, 2011 The cars vin number won't show the options that the car was built with. That information can be sourced by taking the vin number to either a BMW dealer or an authorised BMW service centre.

scottr 11 Report post Posted March 21, 2011 What year is it? I can read the options on my e46 with a scanner tool. Perhaps you can do the same.
