santa 3 Report post Posted June 4, 2011 Hi Any kits available to convert auto V8 to a manual g/box. I have not seen any manual V8s available locally. Looking at putting the V8 into an E30 and most of the swaps use a manual V8 motor. Or any idea roughly how much to adapt a manual to the V8.? BM WORLD 1283 Report post Posted June 4, 2011 you will need to buy a used box from the usa or germany , uk etc from ebay etc . buy a new light weight flywheel and proformance clutch from jbracing.com etc. most other small bits can be brought new ex bmw or dealers . or modify parts etc

Other option I have thought about is to use the Toyota 1uz fe alloy V8, manual g/box adapter are readily available and not too hard on wallet. would be nice to keep project all "factory" though. Michael. 2313 Report post Posted June 5, 2011 A 1UZFE is the way to go if you want to be cost effective, Although my project has cost the equivalent of a mint E36 M3... and climbing.
