m325i 709 Report post Posted May 18, 2005 Fat mechanic broke my seat. It seems that there is a spring missing from the front left. Rocks back and fourth. Should i just unbold the seat, take it out and replace spring/ or bolt it to fix it? Do i need any kind of super torque rench to bolt/unbolt the seat? Safety first... Grant 4 Report post Posted May 18, 2005 I'd take it back to them, if they made it worse. Actually was just in a meeting and was facing the window over the carpark, your car is sitting at a nice height now with the new springs in. Euro plates are looking good too. Cheers Grant

Cheers Grant I feel so stalked! Clears coming soon too. Well i know your building just sold for $10,700,000 To be honest i dont even want those guys touching my car. If they cant even do a wheel alignment. Who knows what they do when im not there. Apparently "it still goes pretty good" aahhhh makes me feel :puke:
m325i 709 Report post Posted May 29, 2005 Took seat out. Metal bit undernearth broken. Best way to fix it to get it welded? Who would do this? Temporary solution of 5 cable ties seems to have fixed it for now. PS Dont order from Ultimatestyling.com
bravo 35 Report post Posted May 30, 2005 Which metal bit? The broken seat in dad's e30 is being fixed - The local engineering firm thinks they can weld it and it is sprung steel, so yours should be sweet. Don't let anyone sit in it if the only thing holding it in is cable ties - the seatbelt attaches to the seat, and in a crash there will be quite a bit of force on the seat - cable ties will not hold. Period.
