Definately check the front control arms for play which will give the infamous 80kmh shimmy..

and brake from 100k and see if there is any vibration whilst slowing, which could be the arms of warped rotors.

Get a PPI from botany motor workz or bm workshop.. if you are in auckland

Or if not some one might be able to recommend a place in your location.

Headgasket

Cooling system

Play in the steering wheel while off

Key barrels on both doors work

Windows wipers dont wack the top of window

They are good cars, had one previously which i racked up a fair few kms on.

Looks like a well cared for older slighly higher km example..

Yet, I would say you will be in for replacing nearly all of the suspension links and mounts if you're to enjoy it properly.

I'd put about $3,000 away to do that. Just depends if it's worth it to you or not. I just have a thing about driving older cars with worn suspension.

It's a nice looking car! The advert has a service history up to 2004, would be worth checking what happened after that...

Ex UK car, rust? I don't recall seeing an E32 with rust, but there must be some.

I've been driving mine for the last 6 months as my daily and thoroughly enjoy it. It's big and safe and easy to drive in traffic, handles just fine. I get 12.3 lts per 100 k's and have been with a mix of highway and city, I'm ok with this.

You will need to allow for the headgasket before 300k's unless it's been done, they go at the back of number 6, hottest part of the motor, but seem to just blow, I've done 3 now on different cars and haven't had a cracked head yet.

I got the full suspension arm and bush kit from Groton's in the States, with the dollar where it is it will be around $500 landed, I'd guess for the full kit, not hard to fit most of it yourself.

All I'd say is, go for it.

Not for me im afraid.

Maybe being too picky, however its a $3k car afterall  . The car ran great, but it has some small issues that would bug the crap out of me :D

Heart set on a minty e34 being the main problem.
