m20 2.8 build

Is it possible to build m20 2.8 using p/l 323 with m50 2.8 crank and m20 2 litre rods?

heaps of info out there about them. hellbm might have a few kits.

from my understanding use a complete FL e30 325i engine with all the motronic 1.3 management, e36 m52b28 crank with machined oil seal, m20b20 - 130mm rods attached to the FL pistons.

or something around those lines.

Hi Greg

As far as I no Marks doing an engine swap from the sedan he bought in chch.

Wanted to no if m20 323 block and pistons will work with 2.8 crank and m20 2 litre rods

He has all the stats on the engine though.

The M20 323 is still a 2.5 block, i think the 2.8 rods will still need to be used however.

323i block has the same bore as a 2L block , so better to use the 2.5L or 2.7l block unless you want to do a rebore to make it bigger and go custom pistons etc
