CD stacker replacement

Recommended Posts

Hey guys, my factory stacker wont read copied disks so am looking at replacing it with a new/newer one but am strangely liking the factory stereo.

My Q is can i swap another Sony or xplode stacker straight over or will i need an adaptor?

Cheers heaps.

What kind of copied disks are you using? I think they only like CD-Rs

Just cheap ones from the warehouse, might try and buy a single decent one and give that a go.

Will take a pic this arvo Brent, cheers

Burn them at a slower speed helps too especially if you use cheaper discs. I burn mine at 8x with iTunes.

most older cd players dont like burnt cd's .

even more so when the lazer wears out.

Early BMW branded Sony head units should work with later CD / CD / CDR text stackers. I tried a 94 Sony Tape / CD stacker on a mid 2000's stacker which worked ok. Not sure about the MP3 versions though.
