chimera 0 Report post Posted October 3, 2011 (edited) Howdy, I gotta '97 E36 323i, recently the fuel gauge has done some weird sh!t, intermittently jumping really quickly to Empty then back up to Full or sometimes anywhere in between. Its most noticeable when it hits Empty coz the fuel light comes on (and I mean the needle hits the *far* left side of the gauge, and jumps there really quick). It can sit on E for maybe a few minutes then suddenly jump back to its normal reading, or go to Full or whatever its quite random. Figured its probably a loose wire on a sensor or something since its so intermittent. Has anyone experienced this before? Any ideas?
