polley 916 Report post Posted October 6, 2011 Whats the best way to go about replacing an E36 key? Car is EWS, still have original key, only problem it is worn out and will rarely open the doors. Is it possible to get a blank and have it cut and swap the EWS chip from the old key over? Best place to get it done, and approx price? Cheers.
m325i 709 Report post Posted October 6, 2011 There are different options. Cheapest non remote version I found was $140 from the dealer. There's a plastic one that's cheaper but won't last as main Key. We should have group bought a cloning machine.
