Do I need a Cert if I bring a Car in on Aftermarket Coilovers?

Recommended Posts

I'm looking at fitting some aftermarket coilovers on my E92 before I ship it back in Jan.

If i fit them over here do I avoid having to get a cert or is this still necessary?

Thanks

You may have issues with compliance once it gets here. I suggest you fit them here after compliance and get a cert. In the long run it will be less hassle.

^Yeah, unless they are some OEM $$ ones, would still cost you less. Would also make it easier on you come WOF time.

The wifes RS200 came in on coilovers, was cheaper to get certified than find complete OE shocks/springs.

Not sure if the rules around compliance have changed since then however, it was 7yrs ago...

RS200s had coilovers as standard, yes? Would compliance actually know what was on a limited run group B car?

Just a thought....
