I'm thinking about removing the old fabric and replacing it with something new - maybe even leather? Has anyone done anything similar or knows of any good guides on doing so? I've done a bit of research on google, but looks like most people weren't too successful.... I'm not keen on paying someone to do it, as the car really isn't worth much, and I don't wanna put $500 fixing something that doesn't affect its performance. MLM 57 Report post Posted November 14, 2011 I did it on mine, the hardest part was removing the inner formed panel which though loose in most places still had a good hold in others. I used 'spotlight' black vinyl with m tricolour stitching through it. The fronts came out well, the rears not so well (coupe model) as it was a bit rushed and i used a different vinyl.
