thorburn 121 Report post Posted November 22, 2011 (edited) http://www.bimmersport.co.nz/forums/index....t=0&start=0 I'd say the quickest way to find out if it is a 2.8 would be to pull a spark plug and put a rod down it and measure the stroke from it. 84mm will mean 2.8 Edited November 22, 2011 by bbs
BM WORLD 1283 Report post Posted November 22, 2011 what he said ^. also take it gavin at hi-velocity and run it on his dyno , my 325i did 112kw same as my 328i , so if its more than maybe its a hartge , but i would guess its just an hartge engine cover brought on ebay etc. but remove the covers and see if there are any hartge stamps /markings on the head etc (inlet side)
