Michael. 2313 Report post Posted January 23, 2012 So... an E34 535i manual conversion... the idea has been on my mind lately, the 4 speed automatic is ok at present but I imagine it will pack up sooner than later this year and I want to be prepared to fix it (if/when it happens), and lets face it, the auto spoils the driving experience of this car, especially with the 4 speed ratios! I should probably search this but I'll go ahead an ask anyway... which gearbox do they take, Getrag 260 or 280? Does any one have all the parts required from a wrecked car / are willing to perform the conversion at the right price? I imagine the driveshaft and gearbox are the two main things to source locally, the rest can at least be imported from ebay etc. Any help is appreciated.
