E30-323ti 66 Report post Posted January 12, 2004 Well it is almost time to start work on the mobile again. That means E36 suspension, hubs etc... will be going in, so I need some new wheels. I have had a play in photoshop to help aid your decision making.

E30-323ti 66 Report post Posted January 12, 2004 (edited) The Advanti Essen. I like these because they are a typical BMW style wheel. Edited January 12, 2004 by E30-323ti
E30-323ti 66 Report post Posted January 12, 2004 The Advanti Essen (in gulp, chrome dare I say it) I'm not a chrome fan, so don't go flaming me for suggesting them, I thought they could look nice with the red and Chrome trim.
E30-323ti 66 Report post Posted January 12, 2004 The Advanti Tempest. I think these would be my current pick, they don't look so hot in the pic, in person they are nice, hyper black.
E30-323ti 66 Report post Posted January 12, 2004 And last but not least the M5 Replicas. I quite like these but feel they may be a little to reserved.
Gus 5 Report post Posted January 13, 2004 i like the M5 replicas.....the otheres are a little too simple for my liking...and i dont really like the chrome with E3o, looks too boyracerish.....i like your rims! haha....the m5's have a nice multispoke design and should be nice n wide...anyway they've got my vote
Gus 5 Report post Posted January 13, 2004 also...i love alpina rims... but im wanting to get them someday...and they similar to your current ones....will prob come up with more suggestions! Tarmac Evos!
E30-323ti 66 Report post Posted January 13, 2004 The M5 replicas & the tempests would be 17x8" on all 4. The Essens would be 17x7.5" front & 17x8.5" rear. Another option I didn't put up was E46 M3 replicas, they come in 17x7.5" front & 17x8.5" rear also. I didn't have any decent pics to photoshop. Tyres will most likely be 215/45 17's front & 235/40 17's rear.
Gus 5 Report post Posted January 13, 2004 ive got some carlsson 18 mags of a merc kicking around if u want to do a mercedes hub swap! 285/35R18 on the back....245/35/R18 on the front! but on a serious note....the M3 replicas i like more....i take it you mean the 19" replicas in 17"? Grant 4 Report post Posted January 13, 2004 The Essen's (not the chromed ones), in my opinion, best suit the E30. As you say they are a classic BMW wheel...and the E30 is a classic (well in your case a highly modified classic). I think that an E36 would suit the M5 or M3 replica's better. Cheers
dave 2 Report post Posted January 13, 2004 i also like the essens, and agree with grant that the m5 wheels are best suited to the e36/e46, hahahah he beat me to it!!

E30-323ti 66 Report post Posted January 13, 2004 What I've put up is the best of what is avaliable in NZ. Yes BBS wheels would be the obvious wheel of choice, pitty you can get a whole set of one of those that I posted for the same price as 1 BBS wheel. Not really worth it in my opinion.
