Napier_E36 0 Report post Posted August 19, 2005 (edited) whats wrong with them now?Well where do I begin? Um, theyre chrome! I am sooo sick of chome it is not funny - you gotta be careful how you clean them blah blah blah - its all too "look at me" Everyones putting chromies on BMWs these days (good for you! I say) and I have had the same wheels for 2 and a half years... Im over the whole chrome fad. Besides, as mentioned above, one of them is peeling rather badly... localdevdas 2 Report post Posted August 30, 2005 hey yo buddy, try having shadow chrome or polished spokes, and have the dish black. i know its contradictory to what everyone else is saying (black spokes/polished dish), but i've seen the combination on a couple of cars, and it looks pretty good. i've done a phathetic attempt at doing a photoshop of it, but try it out. Cheers.

rolls_on_19 0 Report post Posted August 31, 2005 I say you should just get NEW chromes. Big ones. Painted and powder coated rims are for old skool Bimmers. New skool's need new shoes. Just make sure they shiny as hell. :mosh:

Just make sure they shiny as hell. :mosh: To speak quite honestly, I dont like chrome... I fell in love with the wheels I have, not because they were chrome but because they were a massive design.I still love my wheels, but not the chrome. Its just too "Look at me!!! Look at me!!!" Each to their own I suppose, but Im really liking the graphite idea - I investigated the black face/polished lip and basically no one wanted to undertake it. However, I could be tempted by shadow chrome. I also personally think that anything bigger than an 18 would be a waste of time - I even feel that 18s are a little big, but Ive got them now. Any bigger and Id be paying the earth for tyres - and the way I drive, I replace my rear rubber alot! So, not discounting your or anyone elses taste/opinion, but chrome just aint the go! Dnz 0 Report post Posted September 12, 2005 They ARE M5 wheels.. And theyre completely not chrome spinners, so its all good. The design itself is cool, and will def be for many years to come!
