Good Locations to take photos - Auckland

Recommended Posts

Hi all,

Have a friend that is into photography and is going to take a few snaps of my car

Does anyone know any good locations in Auckland to do so?

Also looking for somewhere on the shore where you get Aucklands CBD as a back drop - anyone know such a place?

Thanks - Scott

Stanley Bay and North Head are good

Northcote Point, Little Shoal Bay sees the bridge

parts of Wynyard Quarters will see downtown

Good luck.

Edit: illegal but good view, just pull over on the side of motorway. NOT recommended.

I've never seen the appeal of the tagged industrial estates as a background for photos, far too 'ghetto' for my liking.

One Tree Hill is particularly nice for photos in the right light conditions. Can't go wrong with nature in the background.

Here's the place under the bridge, just get off at Northcote and wind back.

If you wanted photos of the city at night, this would be epic.

I'm also a fan of the Point Chev sailing club, but hard to get the sun in the right place.

Google Maps calls it Raymond Reserve, Point Chevalier.

Fair enough, thought I'd post it because it's easy to find amazingly beautiful natural backdrops everywhere in NZ. Much harder to find a decent piece of urban art!

No worries - get to the intersection of Sulpher Beach Road & Beach Road.

You'll see where to go from there.

Hey Brunch. Have you got any more pics of your E39. Trying to decide whether to fit the Sport front bumper and dechrome the door mouldings. I quite like yours with the chrome trim around the windows but not on the door mouldings.

Yeah I sold the car a few years ago, but here are some more photos I have on hand.

The M5 bumper is the best for the car in my opinion. I also added the M5 lip on the boot which helped, but never got round to the msport rear bumper.

OP sorry for the thread jack - Julian PM me if you want any more details.
