Apex 693 Report post Posted May 27, 2012 Nice. Drove one of these when they were new and really enjoyed it, the GT forgoes Active Yaw Control and 6-Speed gearbox for a Mechanical Rear Diff and 5-Speed. Good luck with the sale, looks like a nice car.
m325i 709 Report post Posted May 27, 2012 I like these way better than the X. Yellow is a cool colour too I reckon. Is the GT spec just a preference thing?
Apex 693 Report post Posted May 27, 2012 (edited) No they did two models, the GT was the entry level model, same engine, suspension and brakes but did without the AYC and 6 speed as a cheaper alternative at $59k new, then they was the GSR at 68k, the GSR had partial leather upgraded Recaro's, active yaw control and a six speed gearbox. The GT is arguably the better drive, especially if you like gravel. IMHO The 9 is the best EVO of them all, they are a great all rounder and a much more involving and faster drive than the Evolution 10 yet more civilized and flexible than the EVO 8. Totally agree about the GT remarks. I think mine is rather well priced in comparison to the other 9 models on trademe at the moment considering its mint condition.
