Deftones 0 Report post Posted July 17, 2005 (edited) fabricate a heatshield protecting your filter from the rest of the engine bay, or buy one of eric lucas in the US of A. Throw in old airbox and put a K & N panel filter. Edited July 17, 2005 by Deftones

nz320i 0 Report post Posted July 18, 2005 awesome thanks guys, yeah i have been meaning to buy some stainless or something to make a heat sheild but think the k&n panel will do the job, any ideas on where to get one cheap?
Gus 5 Report post Posted July 18, 2005 (edited) K&N panel works best ive found....if your keen on pod, use ABS plastic, it doesnt absorb heat and then radiate it. also easier to work with. or buy one from www.lukasbmw.com Edited July 18, 2005 by Gus
petone 0 Report post Posted July 18, 2005 That lucas site has been down for ages. He's selling them on ebay though, just search for them, or before you spend $$$ on that you might want to do what i did click me the aluminium not as a effective as ABS but way cheaper and a easy project to do. cainchapman 0 Report post Posted July 18, 2005 Cain's Rangi suggestion, do it in Metal and lag it with exhaust wrap tape.
