Hot Tempatures under my hood

i recently put a pod filter on teh 320i but am getting rather higher than normal temps..duhh of course i am getting engine heat

What can i Do!!? any help please!!

fabricate a heatshield protecting your filter from the rest of the engine bay, or buy one of eric lucas in the US of A.

Throw in old airbox and put a K & N panel filter.

take it off and go back to stock with K&N filter

Yes, do this, it may solve your lack of engine response down low.

awesome thanks guys, yeah i have been meaning to buy some stainless or something to make a heat sheild but think the k&n panel will do the job, any ideas on where to get one cheap?

K&N panel works best ive found....if your keen on pod, use ABS plastic, it doesnt absorb heat and then radiate it. also easier to work with. or buy one from www.lukasbmw.com

That lucas site has been down for ages. He's selling them on ebay though, just search for them,

or before you spend $$$ on that you might want to do what i did

the aluminium not as a effective as ABS but way cheaper and a easy project to do.
