rough cold idling

Hi all, my e36 runs bit pinkywhen cold, JeffGrey BMW chch found the breather hose

was perished and needed replacing soon, could this be the cause? if any one has a idea please help out,also what kind of polish is reasonable priced and is effective for a nice finish?get some small scratches out etc... thanks in advance

It seems Jeff Gray knows what they are talking about quite a lot of the time so quite pointless asking here I think.

Try replacing the said hose first huh.

yes as above , any vacuum leaks will cause rough running , especially when its cold.

Then clean or replace the idle control valve after the hose

As for polish, any big brand stuff like Mother or Meguiar are fine.
