Im not sure if its going to be worth the money. I'd buy new ones, purely because i doubt that a reconditioner can produce the same product as bilstein, from old parts.

When I imported the 318 the shocks were rooted, just changing lanes was a bloody hazard.

I got some new Monroe shocks, now it handles so beautiful

Yes they can be regassed, by a place in Auckland I believe.

I cant remember the exact price though, but when I spoke to some guys in Palmie about doing it (they were Bilstein dealers) they had no concerns about the quality once it had been done.

I have a couple of numbers in my head but it wouldnt be fair to you to just put them down here as I honestly cant remember how much it was.

depends how old they are -

the older ones are not worth fixing. Cost more than new shocks.

i was looking at getting my shocks revalved...however they could only do the rear ones (e30) and they were going to have to rebuild as well as revalve...would have ended up being more than new shocks

AUTOLIGN are the bilstein agents, they have a branch in wgtn. just up from the tyre clinic, if they can't be rebuilt they can sell you some new ones.

If they can be rebuilt in may pay to get them revalved also to suit your springs (the rears mainly unless you have got some harder springs to go in the front also).

Body roll isn't a shock issue, more a sway bar issue.

If you think it's rolling too much check the bushes and end-links, they could be worn or broken.

If they look fine jump on the net and order some stiffer sway-bars, they are the only way to counter bodyroll without really hard springs.
