Michael. 2313 Report post Posted April 16, 2013 Bugger, I sold a complete engine with ecu in good order for $500 late last year. Was probably less than what it should have been worth however.

An M52 would bolt straight into my M50 without having to change anything? ECU or EWS problems at all?
antil33t 90 Report post Posted April 16, 2013 You would need an early m50b25 ecu with no ews. and to swap all the sensors and electrical parts over. no idea which m50b20 electrics will work with m52b28 swap. also need the sump from your m50 onto the m52. BM WORLD 1283 Report post Posted April 17, 2013 An M52 would bolt straight into my M50 without having to change anything? ECU or EWS problems at all? just use all of your electrics , change the afm to the bigger 328i type . remap the ecu . or use the ecu ews and chip from the 328i etc . use teh m50 sump , exhaust manifold and a 325i m50 intake etc . lots of different ways of doing it depending on what parts you use or get etc. or just run it on the 520i ecu , afm manifolds etc , will just be strangled a little for topend power
