Michael. 2313 Report post Posted May 9, 2013 Could anyone recommend the best way to remove carbon build up inside of an exhaust tube? Brushes are a little impractical for the design so is their a chemical or spray that would break down the carbon on contact or by soaking? I've used products like CRC electra-clean a heavy duty degreaser (Tricholoretheylene / tetrachloroethylene ) that work really well but given they are somewhat costly per can I wondered if anyone had their own recommendation? Cheers in advance.
Navin 180 Report post Posted May 9, 2013 Threebond does a product called 'Engine conditioner' that breaks down carbon deposits, used as an upper engine cleaner. Part number is 6601j and Repco stocks it. Worth a try?
