antil33t 90 Report post Posted June 15, 2013 Ahem - that's the point... So you (the person with the DRL's) is seen. You might want to read this. There are international standards that DRL's must meet - regardless of it being a "newer euros" or an Australian dinosaur. They are all the same (unless you are in the US where the SAE & FMVSS rules are a bit different. Problem is, Retrofitted DRL's.... whilst WOF inspectors pack fat cries about your rear foglight being blown they seem to let many people away with having DRL's that DON'T f**kING TURN OFF WHEN THE HEADLIGHTS ARE TURNED ON. JoKer 58 Report post Posted June 15, 2013 I think the main issue with some people is they can't tell the difference between a FOG light and an Auxiliary/Driving Light. this! My Subaru is OEM with both fitted the Escort I had recently would default to the rear fog "on" in certain situations (I never figured out what) sometimes it would come on with Headlights sometimes not, and yes a wee orange light came on with it, bloody handy as a reversing light
KwS 2425 Report post Posted June 18, 2013 i HATE people that use rear fogs in good weather, so farking annoying. Ill use my front fogs in anything resembling darkness or bad weather. The way i see it, is the more someone else can see me, the less chance of them hitting me. I also want people that drive in either the dark, or bad weather with ONLY park lights or DRL on to jump off a cliff. No one can see you, sh*t head.
