WTB 1997 e36 ignition barrel?

Recommended Posts

A friend out of town's ignition wouldn't turn off, the garage he took it too gave him a estimate of $800 to replace... Surely this is too much?!

Can anyone gimme a price on one and a rough idea of the labour time?

TIA

We fix spinners for about $150...dependant on the jammed position of the barrel. Spinners should be fixed when they first start giving problems. I've had some cost that much when the lock housing needs replacing due to the position of the barrel

Thanks for that Glenn, I did a little googling and told him it might be an idea to give our dealer here in Dunners a call and see if they can source the spinner through them.

I did mine and think it was 460 for a new one. Hardest part was getting it the right position to pop old one out
