ugn 0 Report post Posted November 19, 2013 Hi Did a quick search but couldnt find anything... Looking at getting an aux input for my e46 factory stereo and stumbled across this ( http://www.anycarlink.com/Product.asp ) and quite like the idea of being able to skip tracks etc using the steering wheel controls. Question is, does it with the e46's delete the changer and/or are there any alternatives out there that anyone has had success with? Cheers
elmarco 56 Report post Posted November 19, 2013 I had a DICE in my old one. Yes it deleted the CD changer, but i had more on my ipod anyway... And yes, i could control the tracks from the steering wheel. I think they are now Audiovox and there was someone on here that sold them.
E30 325i Rag-Top 2956 Report post Posted November 19, 2013 I have got the Anycar in my wife's E46 wagon, and it is pretty reasonable for the price IMHO. Yes, you have to plug it into the CD changer hole, but later cars have two inputs into the back of the unit and if you are fairly smart you can still use both. I had to change a few pins from one plug to another to keep the factory bluetooth phone working with the Anycar - but it only took 30mins googling to work it out. Neal 544 Report post Posted November 20, 2013 (edited) Another option is Denison lite. You can add an adaptor that shares cd stacker connection. Bluetooth is also an option with it. Hard drive of up to 250 gig can also be added. Edited November 20, 2013 by Neal
