e30 original certification plate

I cant seem to find the cert plate for my 89 e30.

Its easy to find it on my 87. But i cant find it on my 89.

89 316i coupe.

Do you mean the VIN plate with the chassis number on it?

If its NZ new it may not have one ( i think)

whether the car is import or not, the original serial number is along firewall underneath the arm for the left hand wiper, on the "outside" of the rubber strip. If its not there, then the car has been altered somehow, stolen and retagged, rebuilt, etc. also plenty of other places to find it too but thats the easiest way.
