I'm keen on getting another car. I saw a nice e36 drop 325i manual - but it was a bit too expensive to leave parked on the street - so now I'm looking for an e30. How much should I be expected to pay for a nice (tidy, manual hood - not mint) one?

This one looks pretty sweet - might take a look when I'm in auckland in a week or two.

1994, 175kms e36 325i 5-speed. Black on black and tan, *very* straight, new roof -> $13,200...

Does that seem like a reasonable price? Would I have much trouble getting rid of it at the end of summer?

$13200 sounds pretty reasonable, you generally look to pay between about $16-25 for a nice convertable. That ones a tad stock compared to the higher priced ones but thats what you'd expect at that sorta price.

Check to see whether it has a service history, check cam belts, damage repairs etc etc.
