e36 body wiring differences between coupe and sedan

Looking to buy an e36 for the body wiring. The wiring will be stripped back to the bare basics to keep it road legal.
Are the connectors for lights, dash, switches etc the same between sedan and coupe
both cars are from same year 1996, so hopefully it'll be ok.
