my_e36 43 Report post Posted November 7, 2005 (edited) Just thought the air-con flow seems a bit low, so I took mine out last night, it was pitch black !!! Just a quick one, does anyone know roughly how much are they? Edited November 7, 2005 by my_e36

my_e36 43 Report post Posted November 8, 2005 The pic in there is for Left-Hand Drive For us, it's under the steering and stuff.... Stick your head into the pedals and look up to the left of the car pix as shown (with the filter cover removed)
*RJ* 0 Report post Posted November 8, 2005 I think I might change this too. I use my air con heaps during summer and winter come to think of it. Mine has picked up a rather unique smell (I'm sure someone has pissed on my car) so might change this to get rid of the smell an increase that chilly air flow. Carl 3 Report post Posted November 8, 2005 What about E30's, I only ever use mine in winter to demist the windscreen. It does have a funky mechanical damp smell once you turn it off though...

Dnz 0 Report post Posted November 8, 2005 Most ppl replace it once the airflow gets bad. If it doesnt blow hard anymore, the filters done.
isis 16 Report post Posted November 8, 2005 if you guys follow the service interval on your beemers (e36/e46/e39) this is usually done during inspt 2. some ppl replace them, some just leave them without. i replaced mine in my e36 325i & it was on top of the transmission tunnel..pulled it out and spent another 5mins pulling out the other gunk of it..flies etc etc.. it'll also help to get your airconditioning service, renew your gas, top up the oil & check to see if there are any leaks as summer is here!
