Med case differentials.... what of them

I'm in dire need of a lower ratio into my e30. Apparently the e28 eta diff internals are not compatible with non eta diffs? Anyone know of this issue or any way around it if it does exist?

End result would be 2.93 in my med case e30 LSD.

Have you looked at using the backing plate off your E30 diff on the E28 diff and putting the LSD centre in your E28 diff. Not sure if you have to change the output shafts as well but there are a few on here with E28 history.

Yeah I had a quick squiz re that option but i think the issue may be the carrier is too big to fit the crown onto. Plus that would mean i need to find an eta e28 diff which could prove difficult. Unless someone pipes up here with a good idea I'm gonna go with the 3.15 ratio for now and see how that goes, should make a marked difference considering im at 3.73 currently...
