Karmada 6 Report post Posted May 31, 2015 Bevan here, live in Hamilton. Just purchased my first e36 (have owned an e30 in the past). Sight unseen 328i sports...what could go wrong? Absolutely nothing. Picked it up on Saturday morning at 8am and drove straight home to Hamilton with no issues what so ever! I'm an auto electrician so at least I'll be able to repair most issues that do pop up myself. Have attached some pictures after the first wash!!
Guest MP0wer Report post Posted May 31, 2015 Heeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeey....! I'm Hyde, Welcome to the forum, Great Buy, how much was it? You'll love the car, specially if you do a bit of modding like an LSD, some better shocks/springs, an Xbrace
qube 3570 Report post Posted May 31, 2015 very nice, looks to be around a 1997 or 1998 spec?
Karmada 6 Report post Posted May 31, 2015 It's a 1996. Was $4950 from a dealer, has brand new pads/rotors, fresh wof, fresh service, half a year of rego. Quite a lot of car for the money. It's nz new and I seem to be the third owner. I need to do rocker cover gasket, sump gasket, overhaul cooling system and sort a slight knock in the rear before anything performance wise happens. OP6 27 Report post Posted May 31, 2015 Nice honest looking car, and a good score. Like the sneaky little self advert there on the 2nd pic.
Karmada 6 Report post Posted May 31, 2015 The work van doesn't look it but is insanely filthy. Was fighting mud in it driving through a coal mine on Friday haha! Cheers for the comments. I'm going to keep it looking as stock as possible.
kiwi328i 118 Report post Posted June 1, 2015 Awesome score. A lot of car for the money. I had an E36 328i coupe myself and loved it, loved modding it as well. Enjoy.
qube 3570 Report post Posted June 1, 2015 imo the e36 coupe is one of the most rewarding cars to modify. simple and cheap mods that make a world of difference and bring huge satisfaction.
Yuen 16 Report post Posted June 2, 2015 Welcome, car looks good, the 328 is a great car to daily drive. The front seat should come up a fair bit lighter when cleaned too.
