Christmas Pressie

Recommended Posts

Flew to Christchurch to pick it up, then drove back to Auckland over 2 days.

It is a 2000 330I motorsport. Has had adjustable Bilstein springs & Shocks

fitted, 18" BBS wheels, Strut brace, & a S/Steel exhaust.

Good trip back, only got one ticket.

Are those stock mirrors? I can't say I like them... or the sun shade/visor deflectors.

I do love the rims though. Very nice ride.

Very nice David. So, will it get a run around Taupo in January too?

I'd lose the aerials too, and gain a ducktail spoiler.

If I'd known it was in CHC, I'd have got you to have a look at the Super Tourers while you were there.

Nice car and I like those rims~

Lots of nice used cars in South Island I reckon

Maybe lose those aerial for a shark-fin one

and get a duck tail spoiler to sharpen it up a bit?

M3 mirror won't hurt either! :thumb:

The arials are most likey for the GPS unit (i have the same thing in my E30) and I found mounting them on the interior at the back on the inside of the window works well. Basically where they are now, but just inside and off the the side a bit.

I seriously doubt they are GPS aerials. You need 1 aerial and 3 satellites for a 2 dimensional position and a 4th satellite to give the the 3rd dimension (altitude).

Someone lied to you.

Yes - the aerials are for the GPS and Yes they have now gone. There were two aerials on each side and a total of four cables (guessing this is for the four satelites that it looks for). It is an Alpine system and I don't know if it will work over here. Also taken off the monsoons, pig of thing to get off! The mirrors are standard as far as I know - unless someone knows different? (I don't intend changing them - spent enough money already...).

David has been to work on it and removed the gay aerials and the monsoon windows.

It looks SWEET. As usual, David finds another mint car.

New pic without monsoons
