arcon 3 Report post Posted September 27, 2016 My SRS airbag light keeps lighting up, over the past few years its been repaired 6 times by two different mechanics (well known shops to these forums). Each subsequent time it fails they've repaired for no charge like they should, but its actually wasting my time now. Maybe they're not qualified if its a wiring issue - can anyone recommend an auto-electrician or should I just take it to JC...?
M3AN 4016 Report post Posted September 28, 2016 A lot will depend on why it's coming on. When you had it previously repaired they will have read the error codes, did they advise you what they were?
arcon 3 Report post Posted September 28, 2016 not specifically but the most recent mechanic told me it was a bad connection.
M3AN 4016 Report post Posted September 28, 2016 You really need the codes read again then and the light reset and then after it triggers again the codes read again. I don't suppose you have access to a code reader? If your car has a pac-man style connector in the engine bay (second picture: http://www.peakeresearch.com/compatibility.htm) then I can get the codes for you.
