Car positioning hydraulic lifts are great, they allow us to move cars into tight spots to increase storage space etc. Both Super Cheap and Repco have offerings. Unfortunately, the weakest part of the lift is the black plastic tube on the fingers that lift the wheels. The tube deforms, splits, then collapses. Root cause is insufficient internal support and the strength of the tube. Super Cheap replaced one of mine with a collapsed tube under warranty today, great service. Next stop was my plumbing supplier to purchase 1.5 m of 80 mm waste pipe, the one with the 2.5 mm thick PVC walls. This was cut to length, the caster on the finger removed and the black tube and support removed. Cut the waste pipe to length and slipped it over the black tube. Reassembled.
