Napier_E36 0 Report post Posted February 4, 2006 (edited) find another 1k buy this ... badass ! http://www.trademe.co.nz/Trade-Me-Motors/C...on-46596288.htm Damn that auction closing, I wanted to ask if he had calluses on his Knuckles...As for the $2g, I dont think your going to get too much go for that... But I could be wrong. Maybe do a little on the intake. But go fast bits get expensive quickly - especially if you want big power while keeping it N/A Edited February 4, 2006 by Napier_E36

Gus 5 Report post Posted February 4, 2006 drive properly. im not trying to insult you, but spending 2k to get what....40hp? if that wont make you as fast round a track as spending the money on track days and the consumables associated, like tyres/fluids. plus its a lot more enjoyable. ducatiss 1 Report post Posted February 5, 2006 I'd spend it on the handling - agree with the previous posters, you will end up munting your engine by trying to up the performance on the cheap. That said, you could look at a cold airbox, K&N filter, then with the rest of the money, put in some decent shockies, and maybe look toward a front strut brace. Buy your parts in from the States, and you should scrape in there for 2G. By focussing on the handling you will ultimately make it faster around corners. Grant 4 Report post Posted February 5, 2006 that guy with the cortina has excellent english skills ay sure grant appreciates his work I admire the skill he has to absolutely murder a language.Realistically it must take him longer to work out how to spell every word wrong, than it takes to just spell it correctly in the first place. Maybe we should get him to sign up here....

Carl 3 Report post Posted February 7, 2006 Instead of the link computer you can go unichip or mapecu which are cheaper and have good % gains but as stated before the bang for your buck isn't as great as having the bigger engine first to get the gains. Guest Spargo Report post Posted February 7, 2006 6degree cam advance on intake, you can do this on M42's. Exhaust box, the only restriction on the exhuast is this. Conforti chip to give 7K redline. Z3 1.9 short shifter. 1K worth of driving lessons.
