Hoping to Import a used BMW 1 Series (2016) from Japan

Hi there, I'm hoping to import a BMW 1 Series (2016) from Japan and I'm wondering if anyone can let me know if the language setting on the head unit can be changed to English? I was told that it will all be in Japanese. Any help on this matter will be greatly appreciated.

2016 1 Series doesn't have a head unit as such, music is controlled through the iDrive system, which yes, will be in Japanese. There are plenty of firms around that can convert all the systems over to NZ, language, Nav, etc.
