Juxsta 1 Report post Posted July 28, 2017 I have just purchased an E60 525i wagon and it has annoying bogus traffic announcement warning me of non existing rail crossings and high risk crash areas. Cannot find how to turn these off. Sure it must be possible without coding right? Any solution would be appreciated. Cheers
Haitoman 110 Report post Posted July 28, 2017 Are you sure it's not just a case of turn off TMC.
allan 295 Report post Posted July 28, 2017 Can't help you with your problem but welcome to the age of technology. gone mad. From around 2005 any BMW required you to have a scanning tool and a handle on how to use it and understand what it is telling you.ie checking the oil level.as their is no dip stick any more. Just had a quick look on google https://www.google.co.nz/#q=e60+unwanted+traffic+warning+messages
NZ BMW 368 Report post Posted July 29, 2017 My old E39 used to announce to me about every six months that I was "Now entering Tokyo!" When I got my X5 it was wired up with some kind of radar scope and an electronic tolling system, I had the dealer disconnect it all as part of the sale agreement - are you sure it's not something like that?
