SmackJackTheCrackerMan 54 Report post Posted March 23, 2018 I just purchased a Band Expander for my 2008 I-Drive System. Can anyone explain how I install it? I'm a total newb when it comes to wiring/electrical etc I assume the 2 plugs will be straightforward, but what do I do with the red wire? Olaf 3317 Report post Posted March 24, 2018 Hi Gregg, pretty sure you don't need a band expander for e9x - I've been told there are settings you can access to change from Japan to Oceania region. hotwire 352 Report post Posted March 24, 2018 Don't fit a band expander - the reception will be crap! The radio can be programmed but the process is more involved in the E9x cars.
