pauly 16 Report post Posted September 30, 2019 (edited) As per subject, looking at some style 22 17" with 235/40 Semis. Offset is 41. Will they be OK on my 318ti E36? TIA Edited October 1, 2019 by pauly
zero 1162 Report post Posted September 30, 2019 Depends on the offset of the wheel. If the offset is correct they will fit - if not they will rub.

Statek 87 Report post Posted October 1, 2019 Is that a square set Paul? According to http://www.bmwstylewheels.com/bmw/22 the Style 22s only came in 17x7.5. That tyre width is pretty chunky - are the 235s only on the rear or on all 4?

zero 1162 Report post Posted October 1, 2019 Yes they will fit fine with that offset.
Statek 87 Report post Posted October 1, 2019 Yup, should fit fine. I wonder whether the tyres aren't too wide for it though still, any time on a track is always fun!
zero 1162 Report post Posted October 1, 2019 Yes tyres are a bit too wide for the rim, but not dangerously so. You definitely wouldn't go wider on a 7.5 rim. Also bear in mind that the speedo will be slightly off with that aspect ratio, but that wont matter on the track.

B.M.W Ltd 950 Report post Posted October 1, 2019 Can you not try them ? I was running 235/35/17 on 8.5" ACS wheels on mine. Got occasional rub and I had pretty stiff suspension which was lowered as well
