thorns 20 Report post Posted September 13, 2020 (edited) Just looking to replace the front rotors and pads on an E60 550i (2006 model). Have rung a few places and there seems to be two different sizes commonly listed. The overall diameter are the same but with two different heights, 77mm or 81mm. Anyone know what size is correct for my car, and is the height referring to the overall height of the rotor or is it an offset value? Kiwi_BMW 89 Report post Posted September 16, 2020 The height difference maybe because of rotor thickness difference. The E60 550i had either 30mm or 36mm thick brake rotors and both were 348mm dia.
Driftit 2093 Report post Posted October 5, 2020 FCP Euro says. https://www.fcpeuro.com/products/bmw-disc-brake-rotor-front-34116763824oe#description No sizes but has the part number which you can look up. Also probably cheaper buying from them.
M3AN 4016 Report post Posted October 6, 2020 I'm an FCP fan but FWIW I just ordered 4 rotors ? from Spareto.com on the recommendation of another kind member here and they were US$100 less expensive shipped to NZ than FCP, same brands. Mind you, the shipping cost more than the 4 rotors together... ?
